Information you voluntarily provide through our services, such as prayer requests, journal entries, Bible reading progress, community posts, and waitlist registrations.
Usage Data
Basic information about how you interact with our services, including pages visited and features used, collected to improve our services.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Authenticate your identity and maintain your session
- Provide personalized features such as Bible reading progress tracking, prayer request management, and AI-powered scripture search
- Facilitate community features including discussion posts and event participation
- Process waitlist registrations for programs like School of Destiny
- Send notifications about services, events, and fellowship activities (with your consent)
- Improve and optimize our services
- Ensure the security of our platform
Google OAuth Data
Google Sign-In Disclosure
Our application offers Google Sign-In as an authentication method. When you choose to sign in with Google, we request access to the following information from your Google account:
Data We Access
- Email address — Used to create and identify your account
- Full name — Used to personalize your experience within the app
- Profile picture — Displayed as your avatar within the app
How We Use Google Data
The data obtained through Google Sign-In is used exclusively for authentication and account creation within our application. We use your email to uniquely identify your account, your name to personalize greetings and community features, and your profile picture to display your avatar.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your Google user data to any third party
- We do not use your Google data for advertising or marketing purposes
- We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, drive, or any other Google services
- We do not store your Google password or authentication tokens beyond what is necessary for session management
Data Storage & Security
Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored securely using trusted cloud infrastructure with enterprise-grade security measures including encryption at rest and in transit.
Security Measures
We implement the following security practices:
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
- Authentication is managed through secure session tokens with RSA-256 signing
- Passwords (when using email/password sign-in) are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Rate limiting is enforced on sensitive operations to prevent abuse
- Access to the backend is restricted through authenticated API calls only
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain information.
Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.
Children's Privacy
Our services are designed for youth and young adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@winnerschapelcanada.ca and we will promptly delete such information.
Users between the ages of 13 and 18 should have parental or guardian consent before using our services.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — You can update or correct your personal information through your account settings
- Deletion — You can request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data
- Data Portability — You can request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw Consent — You can revoke Google Sign-In access at any time through your Google Account settings
- Opt Out — You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time

Revoking Google Access
To disconnect your Google account from our application, visit myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove Youth Alive Fellowship Canada from the list of connected applications. You may also request full account deletion by contacting us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through our app or via email.
